Although many ultrasonic cleaning applications are rather straightforward and easily accomplished, such as oil and coolant removal from precision metal parts, there are always those applications which may warrant Ultrasonic Compatibility Testing.  Parts which are submitted by our potential customers are test cleaned in ultrasonic cleaners of varying frequencies, varying cleaning agents, and under changing conditions to determine the exact procedures required to clean the parts to our customers specifications.  Parts are then packaged and labeled separately, and a Laboratory Report is included which details how the parts were processed.

There are several advantages to performing an Ultrasonic Compatibility Test.  First, the customer can be assured that the ultrasonic cleaning system which is purchased will produce the expected cleaning quality.  Secondly, testing allows Zenith engineers to determine the exact process required to produce the expected cleaning quality.  Parameters such as temperature, detergent in use, detergent concentration, optimal ultrasonic frequency, rinsing and drying methods, and many others are all established during this testing.

For those customers who have never used an ultrasonic cleaning system, or parts which have never been cleaned in an ultrasonic cleaner, compatibility testing is very important.  Zenith has been performing compatibility testing for over 45 years, and 1 steadfast rule applies;  NEVER ASSUME AN ULTRASONIC CLEANER WILL WORK EFFECTIVELY.  In many cases, a part may appear to be perfectly suited to ultrasonic cleaning technology, yet, the design of the product may prevent effective cleaning in the most critical part areas, or the volume of parts the customer expects to clean in a given batch may be too great. 

Zenith recommends Compatibility Testing for any customer who has little experience with ultrasonic cleaning technology, or has parts which have never been cleaned ultrasonically.  The only charge will be shipping to and from the Zenith facility.
