Submersibles Systems to provide Existing Tanks with Ultrasonic Cleaning Action In many cases, our customers already have an existing tank which they wish to convert into an ultrasonic aqueous cleaning, or solvent cleaning system. This is possible using Submersible Ultrasonic Systems. All submersible ultrasonic systems are composed of 1 or more submersible transducer packs, and 1 or more ultrasonic generators which connect to these packs to create an ultrasonic aqueous cleaner out of any existing tank. Submersible transducers for aqueous cleaners are hermetically-sealed stainless steel boxes,
approximately 3-4" tall, which contain any number of individual ultrasonic
transducers. The submersible transducer pack is positioned on the tank
bottom or sides, and connected to the ultrasonic generator using a liquid-tight
Riser Tube which passes the electrical cable through the top of the
cleaning tank. Other electrical mounting options include the use of
Bulkhead Mounts, which require that a hole be cut into the tank bottom
through w Although Zenith has a standard line of submersible sizes, submersible systems are typically custom-manufactured to ensure a perfect fit, and to ensure that the output is evenly distributed within the tank. By reducing the liquid levels in the cleaning tank as much as possible, the watt-per-liter power of the aqueous cleaner is maximized. Although standard sizes are available, a better cleaning system is produced when submersibles are custom manufactured. And, there is no additional cost for custom manufacturing. A few options are available for immersible aqueous cleaners, which include ultrasonic operating frequencies, plating options to increase expected life of the submersible, mounting styles, mounting materials of construction, submersible holsters to suspend submersible transducers on the tank side walls, and others. Customers purchasing the submersible ultrasonic system have very little work to do to install these systems. Typically, a few threaded studs must be welded to the tank bottom to hold the submersible in place. Then, the submersibles are simply bolted into place, and connected to the ultrasonic generator with a quick-disconnect liquid-tight electrical fitting. That's all there is to it. If you have an existing tank which you wish to convert to an ultrasonic cleaning tank, contact us for an immediate price quote on a submersible system which is custom manufactured to perfectly fit your tank.
