The VORTEX Centrifugal Ultrasonic Cleaner for High Volume Cleaning Applications
Cleaning metal stampings or similar parts in high volumes creates several difficulties. Firstly, large batches of stampings tend to trap liquids. As a result, cleaning fluid is continuously transferred into the rinse tanks in most competitive parts washers, leading to unsatisfactory results. Drying these parts is also difficult for the same reason. The parts batch will dry on the outside, but not on the inside, unless the VORTEX is in use. By including user-adjustable rotary washing rotation to all parts washing cycles (cleaning, rinsing, and drying), high volume degreasing of metal stampings or other parts is no longer a problem. All detergent is removed from the parts before they are transferred into the rinse cycle, thereby preserving rinsewater integrity. Rotation is also used in the ultrasonic cleaner tank, to release contaminants that have been loosened by the ultrasonics, but remains trapped inside of detailed part areas. Drying difficulties are eliminated, since the centrifugal action removes all water, allowing parts to be dried at low temperatures in minutes. In fact, the VORTEX will eject a zero-residue level batch of metal stampings every 3-5 minutes, bone dry down to the middle of the batch. No slow-rotation system can match this performance. If a rust preventative dip is required, the centrifugal action will thin the layer of this coating, ensuring that it is evenly distributed on the surface of the stamping, and eliminating the mess.
